Legendary singer Tuface confesses to trying out marijuana and insists that he is off it now. The singer who jointly won the BET plaque with D’banj in a recent interview was quoted as saying he has smoked marijuana to get ‘ire’ [high]. His response to the question about drugs was:“When it comes to drugs, I can say I drink Panadol sometimes when I have headache. Or I can take Vitamin C. Marijuana? Yes, I have tried it before. I tried it and I felt ire (high).
I don’t want to even start encouraging anybody or talking about that. But I am just being truthful. I have done it before. Cocaine, heroin? I have never taken tried those ones.Never, ever, ever.
I have never taken marijuana to go onstage. It was just for relaxation purpose. But like I said, I don’t even want to go there.
So, let’s leave that. I just knew marijuana wasn’t for me. So I stopped. Because it makes me feel I am in another world.
I stopped using it a couple of years ago. I wouldn’t say it was difficult stopping it. It wasn’t too difficult.
It was just craziness that introduced me to marijuana. You know how youthful energy used to push one into things like that. In those days; I listened to songs like Rolling down the Street Smoking.
All those songs can influence, if you want to be influenced. It is not for me to advise musicians not to write or sing about drugs. Then he added:
The thing is just to bring up your kids the right way. Not letting them fear, but let them see the truth, the reality and make their choices by themselves.

Goal-line technology comes to Soccer - Sepp Blatter
England's Premier League and any others who want to introduce goalline technology got the go-ahead to do so from FIFA president Sepp Blatter on Wednesday, as long as the law-making International Football Association Board approves it next March.
Blatter opposed goalline technology for years and ended the debate on its future in March 2010, only to re-open it after Frank Lampard of England had a legitimate goal ruled out against Germany in the World Cup finals last year.
Blatter apologised for the officials' error a few days later, saying it was an unforgivable mistake and that goal changed his mind on the debate.
He said on Wednesday that as long as the IFAB approves an "accurate and affordable" system when it meets in London next year, any leagues that want to use it can do so from the start of the next season.
He also repeated his assertion that it would be used at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil if IFAB approves.
Last week Richard Scudamore, the chief executive of the Premier League, said he wanted it to start in England from the start of the 2012/13 season, and it now seems likely it will.
Blatter, speaking at a news conference ahead of Saturday's preliminary round draw for the 2014 World Cup, said: "The International Board will make their final decision next year.
"And if goalline technology proves to be accurate and affordable then it is possible the International Board will decide that it will be introduced at the World Cup in 2014, and if this is the case, other national associations and leagues will have the right to use it.
"This can be a new approach for the World Cup in 2014 to help the referee."
He added that it had not yet been decided whether the recent experiment with two additional referees behind the goalline would be "installed as a general rule."
He said the experiment would be reviewed at an IFAB meeting in July 2012, after the European championship in Poland and Ukraine.
"We will also have an indication at that meeting of how the refereeing will be done at the World Cup."
Private trials of different systems of goalline technology are taking place this year with IFAB making its final decision next spring. That will become law on July 1, clearing the way for its introduction.
But Blatter said after the last IFAB meeting in March in Newport, Wales, that even if approved by the board goalline technology would not be used at Euro 2012.

The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olayinka Balogun, said at a press conference where the suspects were paraded in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, that the deceased, Mr. Olusegun Olufowobi, was shot by the gang around 8:40pm on July 20.

Faleye, who cried throughout the period of the parade, added that she went to OAUTH to take care of her boyfriend unknown to her he had been involved in robbery.
The CP said, “The policeman was murdered in his apartment at Moferere area of Ado-Ekiti. The medical student, confessed to journalists that he and Ojo went with Ohoworisi aka Master Orchestral, to the residence of the deceased for the operation.

He said the gang leader went in because he thought the person using a generator in the neighbourhood must be a richman.
Olajide explained that he and Ogundare, who accompanied Ohoworisi, heard a gunshot from outside the building where they had waited. He added that the policeman rushed for his pistol with which he shot the leader of the gang.
The policeman was later rushed to hospital where he died, having lost so much blood while the injured gang leader was taken away by his members.

Last Year the Campus was thrown into dissarray following allegations of sexual harassment .
That the university is a catholic based institution, owned by a revered Reverend Monsignor, Emmanuel Edeh, and prides itself as a prized citadel of learning which is also evident in the fees paid by its students, which is in the range of N300,000 to N400,000 is not enough to stop one of its lecturers from conducting a census of the female students of the institution on his bed if they will pass his paper.
Mr Gospel Ajuru , a lecturer in the Pathology department of the Madonna University, Okija has been confirmed to be the type that tests the knowledge of his female students in his bed, and their performance during the duration of the ‘show’ determines what the student gets as score for both his tests and his exams.
Ajuru, according to one of his students who begged for anonymity as she is still being tutored by the randy lecturer has tasted the forbidden fruit of almost all his students, especially those who are afraid of carrying over his course.

Imo State University
The Imo State University (IMSU) in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria was established in 1981 through law No. 4 passed by the Imo State House of Assembly.[1] The university admitted the first intake of 392 pioneer students on October 23, 1981.[2] After the creation of Abia State in 1991, the Uturu campus of the university became the Abia State University. Imo State University is a fully functional University. Most of the programmes of the University have obtained full accreditation from National Universities Commission of Nigeria.
Five years after being formally commissioned, by 2009 the Imo State University Teaching Hospital had failed to produce reasonable services of moderately acceptable standards.[3] A report in February 2009 said that decaying infrastructure, endless workers strike and admission scandals were threatening to kill the University, once rated among the best ten in Nigeria. The vice chancellor and the university bursar had been suspended by the Imo State government, embarrassed by the extent of the admission scam.
